This alumni association developed as an off-shoot of the Northern California Scholarship Foundation (NCSF). The original scholarship foundation was started in 1927 by the gentleman and scholar, Walter B. Scaife, whose personal generosity assisted young college men in achieving their scholastic pursuits. Dr. Scaife began with his own foundation, to which many loyal and prosperous alumni have added their contributions.The alumni association itself also sponsors and oversees scholarship funds for fifth-year undergraduate and graduate study. In addition to funding scholarships, the alumni also serve as advisors to students who receive the scholarships and participate on the team of interviewers who select the scholarship recipients each year.
Only alumni of one of the scholarship foundations are eligible for alumni awards. Candidates at-large are not eligible. Any such inquiries will go unacknowledged.
